New Player Almost Beats Story Mode

Detroit, MI - A new player by the name of Psychic Toaster has almost defeated story mode. While giving play-by-play in the HFTF Discord Server, Psychic Toaster played through the game's story mode multiple times as his main, Jotaro.

His first attempt was unfortunately cut short by the Kakyoin AI, which was "spamming emerald splash" and giving Psychic Toaster a very large amount of trouble. Once helpful people in the discord pointed out that the player can just roll through emerald splash, he had a very close match and narrowly bested the top tier.

His next challenge was the Ndoul boss fight, which ended his next 4 runs. Eventually, he got lucky and was able to get through, but it would continue to cause him trouble in his next few runs.

Having conquered Ndoul, Psychic Toaster was ready to take on the world before being cut down by Chaka, who countered all of his attacks and ended the next two runs. After getting revenge on Chaka the aspiring Jotaro main was ready to take on the world but was met with an unfortunate obstacle.

Alessi was in his path with his gun at ready, shooting down Psychic Toaster's hopes and dreams in round one. Thankfully a lucky Ora Super was able to clutch out a win in round 2. In round 3, Alessi was able to get in the final hit, sending him back to the start. Once Psychic Toaster came back for revenge he was more than ready to get what he came for and Alessi stood no chance.

Finally at Dio's Mansion, Psychic Toaster was ready to beat anyone and anything. Sadly this attitude did not prepare him for the toughest challenge he had faced yet - Boss Ice. Being swiftly defeated by his powerful attacks and sent back to the start multiple times the player was ready to quit, but with some advice from the server was ready to get back at the boss that got him before.

On his way back to Boss Ice, he encountered the Death 13 hidden boss, but easily demolished him. Having returned to Boss Ice's stage, he readied himself for the fight of his life and lost. Many times. At press time Psychic Toaster has yet to defeat Boss Ice in any of his story mode runs.

When asked for a statement on his future plans, Psychic Toaster had the following to say.

"I think I've figured out what everyone has been trying to tell me this whole time! I just need to roll through Boss Ice's attacks! If I can clear story mode before AnimEVO I think I may just have a real shot at top 8 at least!"

As for whether or not Psychic Toaster will be able to accomplish the top 8 finish he wants at AnimEVO remains to be seen, but he is very close to defeating story mode and no longer having a reason to flood the discord server with a play-by-play that literally nobody asked for.
