Pet shop-only gimmick tournament gets 1 entrant, organizers shocked

Exactly 1 week ago a member with the Hol Horse role posted in the Community Tournaments channel a challonge page for a petshop only gimmick tournament. Now, 4 hours after it should have started, the tournament has ended with a grand total of one entrant.

"I don't get why! It's a fun idea! learn a new character, y'know?" said the host, Chibi Abbachio, when asked why he set up a tournament like this.

"It was doomed from the start. Plain and simple." stated tournament veterans after reading the rules "Nobody wants to join a tournament that bans more than half the cast, let alone one that only allows a character like Pet Shop."

"I don't understand why people hate this character, he isn't that strong! I mean he can't block in the air AND all his normals have super low priority! thats so bad!" was what the only entrant, #FreeTheBird | Shadowꓘing, had to say about the tournament.

From what the Tandem Cancel's On the Scene reporter has found, Chibi Abbachio has plans for a wildly original duel between gun users and sword users, although further details are unknown.
